Dr R Viswa Chandra is currently the Professor & Head of the Department of Periodontics, SVSIDS. He has completed his BDS from AME’s Dental College, Raichur in 2001 and MDS from MCODS, Manipal in 2005. He is also a clinical trials specialist having handled a wide range of studies from genetic to biologics-oriented product development as applicable to Dentistry. In the current institution he is heading a research team capable of conducting clinical trials through intra and inter-institutional approaches with specific emphasis on the eventual commercialization of a product. He has given guest lectures at several national conferences and has many national and international publications to his credit.
