Dr. Venkata Thimma Reddy.B is currently the Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatric and Preventive dentistry, SVSIDS. He has completed BDS in 1990 and MDS in 1993 from Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Davangere and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of dentistry. He has given guest lectures at several national conferences and has many national and international publications to his credit.He as a member of Dental Council of India has inspected several dental colleges. He has conducted many continuing dental education programme(CDE) and workshops for training post graduates.He chaired several scientific sessionsin national and state conference and symposiums. He has designed innovative devices aiding in the management of cleft lip and palate affected children. He has carriedextensive epidemiological research on Fluoride level in drinking water and its impact on developing dentition in Southern India. He has esthetically managed several cases of dental abnormalities i.e. peg lateral,dilacerations,impacted teeth, odontome, ectopic eruption with advanced materials. He has been undergraduate and post graduate examiner for various universities. He has extensive expertise in the field of Interceptive orthodontics.He carries out full mouth rehabilitation of pediatric cases under General Anesthesia. He has guided numerous research works as part of the university curriculum under Dr NTRUniversity of Health Sciences and KNR University of Health Sciences
